The enlarging family and gradually Subaru 2 door 2.5L RS equals, we’re kinda looking for another vehicle to tote us around the province and beyond. Not wanting to buy a brand new car but still having the desire to check the models on a showroom floor brings us into the ‘Montreal Dealership’s are Complete Twats’ territory.
Finishing work around 7pm, with the little guy on his way to bed closer to 8pm, leaves us with ZERO time to walk into a dealership in the evening as a family. But they open at 9am… who the hell shops for a car at 9am?? Which brings us to the weekend. Free time for the family is well documented, unfortunately they’re all* closed. Brilliant.
Here’s a simple solution. Stop opening at 9am every day of the week, for example open at noon on Monday and Tuesday. Take those 7 hours and drop them into a nice ram-packed sales event on Saturday. I promise, it’ll work.
*Pie IX Dodge Chrysler flouts the 36-year-old Montreal Automobile Dealers Corp. regulation prohibiting sales on the weekends.
Unfortunately it’s a Chrysler dealership, which is just useless to me.
Currently shopping for a used Mazda5, Jetta Wagon TDI or Hummer.
