Found this great article where I never would have thought to look. A Daily Kos diary. Go figure.
Suburban living embodies the compartmentalized, modernist understanding of man and nature. When we consider a suburban dwelling, we often see it in isolation from its social, physical, and environmental surroundings.
Urban living cannot be understood without seeing […]

The invasion of Iraq by Britain and the US has trebled the price of oil, according to a leading expert, costing the world a staggering $6 trillion in higher energy prices alone.
He spoke after oil prices set a new record on 13 consecutive days over the past two weeks. They have now multiplied sixfold since […]

The city created this crosswalk last fall on the corner of Atwater and St-Antoine. It is by far the coolest crosswalk I’ve seen to date. I didn’t witness the process, but it from I can tell the asphalt has been ground down in the cobblestone pattern shown to a depth of around 5mm then the […]

Found another hidden gem in NDG (yes working there has proven quite fruitful) called ‘A Votre Santé’. The whole gamut of organic products from vitamins and baby care products, to cereals and cheese. Don’t let it’s tiny entrance fool you, it’s really huge inside with a wide and well selected choice of goodies.
