Quick update on May’s monthly fix:
Anti Publisac stickers now present on 95% of the households on this block. We currently have about 40 stickers in hand and will be working our way around the corners day to day. With only two holdouts on the street with the, “I like to look through the circulars” excuse, we were more than happy with the coverage and enthusiasm to date.
June was less formal but developed into a “Get to know your neighbours” monthy fix. With the help of many friends in the community we through a street party BBQ in the Walker park and had a lot of the locals turn out to play live music, spin some tunes, entertain the kids (actually they were pretty self entertained when we got them a hose and spray nozzle and have a great time. It was great to see so many people come outside and introduce themselves and appreciate the work we put into the event. Thanks to all for the help and participation.

I have had the sticker on my mailbox in Saint Anne de Bellevue, and although I had to point it out to the delivery guy, I haven’t received any since then.
