Interesting. And totally makes sense about NYC. I imagine that most people’s contribution (or lack thereof) to the environment is related to car and gasoline usage. Considering the majority of New Yorkers use public transit (not to mention live in very small spaces), not surprising that they’re greener than many (most?) of their cohorts in the rest of the country.
