With all this talk about new tramways running around town, I was wondering what all that infrastructure would cost (some say 44Million/km, some say 80).
On my end I think it’s a complete waste of money to build:

the tracks
the nasty power lines
the special track clearing machines for snow and ice
the service depots for trams
the ’stations’
and ummm […]

May 26th 2008…  a crew of four unionized City of Montreal workers arrive to finally repaint our intersection (and every other one in the borough).

These stop lines and cross walks will not be visible past the end of September.

While still on the spring (summer?) cleanup of Montreal take a look at these two pix below.

Taken Sunday at the old port on the wide pedestrian walkway off de la Commune, filled with tourists and locals alike.  Eating, drinking and generally enjoying the spectacular sun filled day at the old port.

Hey Alan, where are the street cleaners? Maybe we should push the start date to May 1st for next year, or possibly June 1st?
